Making all the plans is so fun. Dreaming of our visits with Mark and Evette, David and May Marshall, Heidi Yoder, and Stephanie. Can't wait to see them! I am concerned about Eric and his health.. the long plane trip, staying in bed and breakfasts, new food, new germs.. oh well. We will take one day at a time.<br />
<br />
Knitting is my obsession right now. I haven't scrapbooked in 3 months - I haven't even looked at it. I am so enjoying wool and yarn and knitting patterns - I only want to knit, knit, knit! I finished a cardigan about 3 months ago and it inspired me to knit ALL the time. Also, my knitting projects are portable - I can take them wherever I go - ONE bag with all the yarn and needles. Unlike scrapbooking - I have to pack the kitchen sink.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPenaySHMHSzxVkaYqLn-id_TtPNDHe4uEc6ysK3VCRAQ0zRMhTbXPDpoOiFeoDJo7vcGIFCmOXB_Q-3TgCCzxn5vJjsQpAsaUWy9egV1y8mTBf0IWFyW2BV5rCpBwEPdcTUcqgha4gBU2/s1600/Personal+Use-0008.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPenaySHMHSzxVkaYqLn-id_TtPNDHe4uEc6ysK3VCRAQ0zRMhTbXPDpoOiFeoDJo7vcGIFCmOXB_Q-3TgCCzxn5vJjsQpAsaUWy9egV1y8mTBf0IWFyW2BV5rCpBwEPdcTUcqgha4gBU2/s320/Personal+Use-0008.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We finally had some family pictures taken - real photographer (aka not ME) and a beautiful location. We went to Oakwood Park, downtown, in October, and the leaves hadn't even changed yet. This was one of the silly pictures. I am in love with every picture our photographer took. She really captured the essence of our family, our personalities, and our silliness. If only you could see what was happening in between the pictures - that would tell a whole different story. I had to yell at Christian - he would not stop being extremely silly. These will be the only pictures we have of our family done by a professional photographer for - like - the rest of our lives! I did not want the kids ruining it - grrrr. All the whining beforehand, the "why do we have to do this?", the "I don't want to go", the "I don't have anything to wear", AND "I don't want to wear that". EVEN with all that, I am SO glad Eric and I pushed through and we got these forever photos. One of our best photos; yeah, it was SOOOO worth it!<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've been working at Tri Properties for over 2 years now. Wow, where does the time go? Christian (our oldest) moves out THIS Sunday into an apartment. Do you know how long I've been praying for him to fly out of the nest and be his own man? Noelle, now 23 years old, started her new job yesterday; got her first car and car payment; and is sublimely happy to be working. Cade graduates from High School this May and plans on joining the army. Lots happening - all good. All very good.</div>

<br />
I think my kids take up most of my thoughts... along with my husband. Thankful that his health is so much better. Three years since his heart transplant... what a journey we have been on. And three kids at home. My biggest joy and my biggest frustration. How can both emotions be there at the same time and the same intensity? But it's the truth.<br />
<br />
My artistic side is constantly changing. I love that and I encourage change. I don't want to be stagnant in any area of my life or personality. Spending lots of time looking at embroidery stitches. I have always loved stitching - it is so calming for me. I saw the small embroidery hoop necklaces - can you say ADORABLE! I am practicing stitches in the evening. I had no idea how hard it is to get even stitches and make the stitches pretty and consistent. I am hoping to make Margaret (my bff) a "M" embroidered necklace. Working on it! I found the cutest mini embroidery hoops on Etsy.com. I contacted Wendy Gratz, site owner of <a href="http://www.shinyhappyworld.com/" target="_blank">www.shinyhappyworld.com</a>. She emailed me after I signed up for her blog feed - she asked me if I had any questions and if she could help me in any way! What? Hello? I have NEVER had anyone do that before! I am impressed. I asked her if she knew where to find the mini embroidery hoops for necklaces. She emailed me right after with a source on Etsy. How cool is she? Yep. Way cooooool.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Aren't these embroidered flowers in frames gorgeous? I am in serious "like" of these. The picture was posted on Pinterest... I can't find the link now...<br />
<br />
Make it a great Thursday!<br />

I can't wait. It will be a very small group of women - about 5 of us. And there's a scrapbook store about a mile down the road. YAY! <br />
<br />
I am still involved in many pocket letter swaps on <a href="http://www.pocketletterpals.com/">www.pocketletterpals.com</a>. It's been a lot of fun. I am going to finish the remaining swaps and take a break though. I spend at least 2 hours on each PL. That's just too much time for me right now. I need to be journaling on my layouts that I've done. And I have about 50 layouts needing journaling. So, I have to make priorities!<br />
<br />
Teal Pocket Letter:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizecsem84DZ4oRpgMfOtqk00WuM6S2Mrq4EntU5Dpe2pA5DdZ-WzHn9RklD7sMA2fkGGBbiMncNGl-bRZkM-iQ5dr_GWP6LGMydyzmh2ieluawEb8GMQACwHtDdgh9aj3AaMJkip4M_vjY/s1600/Teal+PL+7-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizecsem84DZ4oRpgMfOtqk00WuM6S2Mrq4EntU5Dpe2pA5DdZ-WzHn9RklD7sMA2fkGGBbiMncNGl-bRZkM-iQ5dr_GWP6LGMydyzmh2ieluawEb8GMQACwHtDdgh9aj3AaMJkip4M_vjY/s320/Teal+PL+7-15.jpg" width="238" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
The photos do not do the PL's justice. I believe they look better in person. I hope my swap partners like them.<br />
<br />
I went to the beach a couple of weeks ago - before all the shark attacks! I only stood about ankle deep in the ocean water. I went with 3 girlfriends and we had a BLAST! We ate seafood, drank wine (it's for therapy only- hee, hee), talked, sat by the ocean and laid out by the pool. I like the pool better... no sharks with sharp teeth looking for a juicy thigh.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My toes are on the bottom right. Yes, we all have cute toes that match our swim suits. We're good like that. Next to my foot to the left is Sue (or Cricket), then Renee, and Michelle (at the 12 o'clock position). I love these ladies!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Until next time!</div>

Two weeks ago I went to Scrapbook Creations and cropped for 3 full days. FUNNNNN!!!!<br />
<br />
This weekend I am headed to the beach. I haven't been down to the ocean in several years. And how I've missed the salt air, sand and ocean. So I won't be posting until I get back.<br />
<br />
Anyhoo, I have been busy crafting Pocket Letters.<br />
<br />
Here are some recent ones:<br />
Owl Pocket Letter: I spent hours on this one. I watercolored behind all the mason jars, then watercolored in the mason jars. I stitched the bow. Then used watercolors. I colored in the digistamps with Spectrum Noir markers. This Pocket Letter was sent to Sweden.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I tried to attach a picture but it turned out huge when I inserted in this blog. Sorry about that! But I have been having a blast coloring all kinds digi stamp images. I especially enjoy Tiddly Inks images - the cutest little girls you've ever seen. I am crazy for cute, whimsical images and just can't help myself!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below is a picture of my new obsession! POCKET LETTERS. Using a a 9 pocket baseball card sheet, fill each pocket with your paper, embellishments, ANYTHING and fold it into thirds and MAIL it to your "pal" in a #10 envelope. If you are interested in finding out about pocket letters (PL), visit www.pocketletterpals.com or click <a href="http://www.pocketletterpals.com/" target="_blank">here</a>. Janette Lane, the creator of Pocket Letters, has revived pen pals and snailmail and raised it to an art form! I have joined many swaps on this swap. The PL below was sent to my swap partner and the theme was Spring. I received a PL back from my swap partner and it was precious. She lives in California so her pictures and embellishments reflected spring time in her region. I now LOVE to go to the mailbox. I never know when I will get a PL from one of my swap partners.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In the top left pocket: I die cut a bow out of felt. Top middle: I die cut a butterfly out of paper. Top right: I made flowers to crepe paper on toothpicks. Middle left pocket: behind the paper I put washi tape samples; Middle Pocket: Picture I printed of our state's flower. Middle right: behind the paper was green and yellow buttons held in by green washi tape. Bottom left was white, translucent confetti held in by green washi tape at top. Bottom middle, I stitched a heart. And bottom right holds a felt chicken I received as a gift. </div>

Lots of stuff going on personally. Cade's 11th grade year is winding down. He has two more weeks before summer. Hopefully he will get a little job this summer. He is going to apply at several places. His soccer team's schedule is also winding down. His team qualified for the state cup because of their wins during the season. Last week, Cade had the winning goal at the last minute of the game to advance to the quarter-finals of the state tournament. Tomorrow night they play a Charlotte team. IF his team wins, they will go to the semi's and then the finals this weekend. How exciting that they've made it this far!<br />

What a gorgeous day it is here. I met my husband and daughter at an east Indian restaurant. The food was great. I order Chicken Tikka Masala - the "mildest" dish on the menu. :) Well, it was hot to me, anyway. But, oh so good. Noelle can't get it HOT enough. She order the hottest chicken dish (can't remember the name) and then went to the sauce bar and added MORE hot sauce. I can't image being able to eat food that is so hot. But she does it all the time.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I finished up my recipe cards for the recipe swap last week. At the scrapbook crop on Saturday, we all swapped our recipe cards.</div>

<div>
I shared my Swedish Apple Pie recipe. If you like Apple Cobbler - then this is the recipe for you. Using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, I colored my digital stamp called Woodland Background from <a href="http://www.prairiefairydesigns.com/" target="_blank">Prairie Fairy Designs </a>and mounted it on kraft colored card stock. It took me quite a few hours to color the image 16 times but I was pleased with how it turned out.</div>

Thanks for sharing this beautiful day with me! Here's to wishing you sunshine and rainbows!</div>

I sound like an old woman. Well, I'm feeling more and more like an old woman. My youngest turns 17 - yes, SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD. <br />
<br />
He was the cutest little guy evah. I ain't lying. Our whole family was so in love with him. And sweet. Really sweet. Tenderhearted, energetic, compliant, deep thinker, loving, big heart, sensitive, and our son. I remember tucking his angel wings under him when he was a baby. <br />
<br />
Now he's a 6 foot tall man - with hairy legs and face - who never wants to shave. He knows he can't have facial hair at school in the 11th grade. In the 12th grade, he can. He'll earn that privilege next year.<br />
<br />
But he still has the same big heart and loving attitude. Most of the time. The other "times" I blame on hormones. He still has such a soft heart. But he is so tough. He is a really thick, muscular dude.<br />
<br />
And we love him. I'm so glad the Lord gave him to us. Our family just wasn't complete until Cade became a part of it.<br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBkW6Hr5viOgMqfIbLqgzFy5JIWtQwQymKdP2QOhEJpszs9B1JNuKKPHVBqNbXq_rAK019CEqstDACBPDXJQQ_IgGNv_AGlGLH1TJzeUwM46njAzR7W9BbVqigEvvlRM4nFi36AhYQs8qm/s1600/GreenHeartGirl.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBkW6Hr5viOgMqfIbLqgzFy5JIWtQwQymKdP2QOhEJpszs9B1JNuKKPHVBqNbXq_rAK019CEqstDACBPDXJQQ_IgGNv_AGlGLH1TJzeUwM46njAzR7W9BbVqigEvvlRM4nFi36AhYQs8qm/s1600/GreenHeartGirl.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBkW6Hr5viOgMqfIbLqgzFy5JIWtQwQymKdP2QOhEJpszs9B1JNuKKPHVBqNbXq_rAK019CEqstDACBPDXJQQ_IgGNv_AGlGLH1TJzeUwM46njAzR7W9BbVqigEvvlRM4nFi36AhYQs8qm/s1600/GreenHeartGirl.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Isn't she the cutest little girl? Created by Krista Smith on her website, Saturated Canary. This was one of the very first images I colored. Thus, as is obvious, I have a lot to learn. But with images like this, I will have SO much fun learning and coloring.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZt4VhoQu1n-XZ0MsaAprHP75AYpRgFczVhR5N7-s6gPo7iH1cix-B4LTzm-ILzO88DogNLMFgEb-JeP9nhYyFC6zMSC241-1-E-OMExt7O7YftW_vGMa8YkyTrdhbM8QnEWjR_sQ2lvSA/s1600/PurpleHeartGirl.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZt4VhoQu1n-XZ0MsaAprHP75AYpRgFczVhR5N7-s6gPo7iH1cix-B4LTzm-ILzO88DogNLMFgEb-JeP9nhYyFC6zMSC241-1-E-OMExt7O7YftW_vGMa8YkyTrdhbM8QnEWjR_sQ2lvSA/s1600/PurpleHeartGirl.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a>Same little girl colored a little differently. Maybe a little better? I'm thinking it's the brown hair. I am thinking of purchasing Copic markers JUST to color in the skin. The Spectrum Noir markers just aren't giving me the "shade" I want. Many of these images are colored on Pinterest. (Don't compare my coloring to those women who are just amazing!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Another adorable image! This typewriter image I purchased from a small shop called Pink Petticoat. I was drawn to her images - vintage-y and cute. I've always loved typewriter images. Why? I don't know but the vintage-looking typewriters are the cutest!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
From Pink Petticoat is this adorable cake stand. Not my best coloring job. And too many colors were used. I will be re-doing this image ASAP!</div>

Awwww. Isn't she sooooo precious! And a cat hat and cat balloon? I HAD to have this image. Tiddly Inks is credited with this image and this little girl is named Wren. I need to color her again and try to use different colors. But, oh what fun to color!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have fun searching for your own fun images! I would love to hear of any cute digital stamp websites or Etsy shops that you like also.</div>

I print them on Spectrum Noir white cardstock and color them in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I am coloring all evening at home. Really. I've watched many Youtube videos and HOW to color and use alcohol markers. I've learned a lot. I believe if I had the more expensive Copic markers, I would color even better. The alcohol markers I have were 75% off at AC Moore. I thought I might as well try coloring with them. And searching for the digistamps to purchase has been a blast. Some of my favorite sites to purchase digital stamps are the following:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Saturated Canary - My hands down favorite images! </li>
<li>Tiddly Inks - close second to the site above. Precious digistamps.</li>
<li>Whimsy Doodles - lots of great digital images.</li>
<li>Bugaboo - love the thick-er lines on the images. And the chickens are so cute!</li>
<li>Pink Petticoat - not a ton of images but I loved the typewriter and cupcake stand</li>
</ul>
<div>
I began searching Etsy for digital stamps and found so many images for sale - it is overwhelming. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That's my new obsession! I am going to post some of my "artwork" very soon!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thanks for sharing this gorgeous by visiting me today. It's 73* outside and gorgeous. Last week I spent one night in a motel so I could get into work by 7:30 a.m. because of the snow. AND ice. The week before, snow came, also, and I spend TWO nights at a motel overnight. It's been crazy weather here - but at least we are having a gorgeous day today!</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
Ciao!</div>

It tore my little heart out. She was so sweet, timid, nervous, loving, and all mine. She was black-ish with silver tips of hair on her ears and around her neck. She was SOOOO precious. I had no idea what a hole she would leave in my heart. <br />
<br />
Christian, our oldest, wants another bunny right away - a bunny for himself. I told him I didn't want another bunny... I don't think I could go through this sadness again! But he said that Buttercup was so therapeutic for him and helped him emotionally. He is so very sweet inside... So here comes another bunny... probably another Netherland Dwarf doe. I gave him a list of bunny names - who knows if he'll use one of them, but they are really cute (or at least I think they are!)<br />
Blossom, Bloom, Meadow, Willow, Thumper, Bashful, Reedy, Lilly, Petunia, Iris, and Penelope. My favorite two names are Meadow and Penelope for a bunny.<br />
<br />
Bunnies are way UNDER rated as pets. They are the best pets and bring so much joy. I think people should consider them more as a household pet. Hamsters, gerbils, etc. are not HALF as sweet or fun as a bunny. <br />
<br />
Now we have our two cats, Sophie and Q-Tip, which are very special to all of us. Both are not over 5 years old so hopefully we have many more years of enjoying them. I had no idea I was such an animal person! I realized it after working with Debora at school since she loved pets! I would love to have a dog but I am not home enough to give a dog the time and energy that one would deserve.<br />
<br />
Bye, Buttercup! If there are bunnies in heaven, which I hope and pray there are, I will see you then!<br />
<br />

Pat, Maggi and me will spend Friday evening and all day Saturday scrapping with about 20 other women. I'm afraid that scrapbooking has died. Or that it's just not as popular as it used to be. Not as popular at all... but when there's a crop, at LEAST 20 women show up. There's no where to go now! Even my church just announced that there would no longer be a crafting weekend at the church every 3 months. I felt like crying. I would go as often as I could. And Leah and Meredith did such a wonderful job scheduling different crafts to learn, passing out a devotion, organizing the tables, setting up and breaking down. Boo hoo. I wish I could step and up and organize the crop - but I have way more than enough on my plate. Maggi is convinced: there IS going to be a paper-apocalypse. She could be right... the scrapbook industry has sure been hit hard in the past two years. Some examples: Archiver's going bankrupt and closing all its stores; mom and pop's stores have all mostly closed; all the scrapbook magazines went digital - then went out of business. I hear there's a few stores left in North Carolina. But no stores in my area. <br />
<br />
Changing the subject - <br />
<br />
I have been enjoying the following apps lately:<br />
<br />
1. <u>Offer Up</u> - much more family friendly site than Craigslist; upload pictures of the items you want to sell - you can only use your cell phone; no "personals" with racey text. I bought a beautiful lamp for our family room through this list.<br />
<br />
2. <u>Waze</u> - awesome navigation app; Look what this app can do; it will send you an alert when: there are traffic jams; accidents; gas prices; map issue; police ahead; since I drive 33 miles ONE way to work, and I am going the direction that everyone ELSE in the whole world is going, it is very important for me to know if there's an accident holding up traffic, etc. YAY for this app.<br />
<br />
3. OverDrive - This is such a cool app; linked to your county library; Download ebooks and - my favorite - audiobooks! I am addicted to audiobooks now. I listen driving to and from work, at lunch, and even before I go to sleep. Eric will listen to the audiobook and within 3-5 minutes, he's snoring. Better than Ambien or any sleep meds!<br />
<br />
4. Voxer - leave a voice message for your bff's; no need to text - just leave a voxer! It's fast, fun and nothing is better - you can hear the person's voice, laugh, expressions; sometimes I can't tell if someone is angry or joking in a text - but I can "hear" how they say something on Voxer and know whether a person is mad, sad, or joking. Great app - try it!<br />
<br />
Gotta go!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

I am always in need of birthday cards so I determined to make some. I chose my least favorite Project Life 3" x 4" cards - as in, I hated the colors! Green, rust, yellow and black-ish colors that I purchased a year or so ago. I knew these cards would never find a place in my scrapbook because I disliked the colors. I HATE to throw anything away that could possibly be used so why not use them on cards?<br />
<br />
I ended up covering the PL cards with vellum to soften the colors. Then I was really pleased with the result. I added some die cut leaves and flowers on top and used my Stampin' Up stamp and tag punch on top.<br />
<br />
I have fallen back in love with my Big Shot die cut machine. When I saw the new magnetic platform and hard foam plates - I knew I had to have them. My acrylic plates and platform with all warped and wouldn't cut evenly - even with a metal shim. Using the new foam plates, I have even cut-outs from my dies. That has cut down on my frustration as well as half-cut paper images. I saw this platform and plates at Michael's - and of course I used a 40% off coupon.<br />
<br />
OH! Another great tool I'm freaking about is the WeRMemoryKeepers Envelope Punch Maker. SO cool and easy to use. I can make any size envelope for any size card needed. After finding some old Close to my Heart patterned paper, I made coordinating envelopes for the cards I made. Looks pretty good.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq43879W6gWr_FoDM7aG8IUfXAI638elvQp8w9OpmL9o2P0_mTgOoj3aJDZN2wu9SdLXtjzamsgr2gTbs0j-2bVykO9Fdpm9BRyVvE-q-9JLu6N8tDdAys9kDEgvQGGpPYXBwBUeV34ip0/s1600/we-r-memory-keepers-envelope-punch-board.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq43879W6gWr_FoDM7aG8IUfXAI638elvQp8w9OpmL9o2P0_mTgOoj3aJDZN2wu9SdLXtjzamsgr2gTbs0j-2bVykO9Fdpm9BRyVvE-q-9JLu6N8tDdAys9kDEgvQGGpPYXBwBUeV34ip0/s1600/we-r-memory-keepers-envelope-punch-board.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I will post a picture or two of my cards and envelopes this evening. <br />
<br />
<br />Heather Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16499284526636325078noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121066954832745261.post-91024694576638649002015-01-21T15:19:00.001-05:002015-04-01T13:56:30.215-04:00My new Planner for 2015I ordered my 2015 calendar pages through Staples - not realizing that the pages did not come with covers. So, after checking out the cost of the covers online - over $30 - I decided that I would make my own!<br />
<br />
I covered two rectangle-shaped chipboards, using October Afternoon paper. I punched holes in the chipboard and then covered it with glossy mod podge. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcJC9UwCErWCpcFyhDWgEuBEcN_aEwfvEAgD8DuGWZh3lWhkmsbtyFJ8MWAPIxUeoycylvAu0NDqKZmHGHv2lxuNJgoDQf22mheJelxlhhFNr86YXnKNcdJlBhD0wHTo5FS39XC1tfKD8-/s1600/2015+Planner.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcJC9UwCErWCpcFyhDWgEuBEcN_aEwfvEAgD8DuGWZh3lWhkmsbtyFJ8MWAPIxUeoycylvAu0NDqKZmHGHv2lxuNJgoDQf22mheJelxlhhFNr86YXnKNcdJlBhD0wHTo5FS39XC1tfKD8-/s1600/2015+Planner.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
Then I glued a few things on top. Of course, I used a doily. I LOVE doilies. Added ribbons on the rings and a metal rimmed tag where I wrote 2015. <br />
<br />
Easy peasy. But I love it.<br />

La Farm was our choice - real French cafe! Then on to Duck Donuts (as in Duck, NC) where I had never been. I am forever ruined. I can never eat another donut from Dunkin donuts or Krispy Kreme again. Duck Donuts has the most delicious donuts I have ever eaten. Ever. It was amazing. Their duck icon was so precious - I had to get a picture of him! Inside the shop, there were wooden duck key chains, t-shirts, sweat shirts, and coffee mugs. The line was out the door also. Well, I guess so. These donuts are worth EVERY calorie. Who'd have thunk it?<br />

I know way more about the world news than I EVER would WANT to know about.<br />
<br />
It's terrifying watching the Islamic terrorists in France shoot a helpless, unarmed policeman yesterday. I couldn't watch it - it was so awful! I'm praying for the French people. It's heart breaking.<br />
<br />
I have been creating some cards and gift boxes with tags lately. I am going simple. Or should I say "simpler"? Anyway, here's some things I've created. I just realized that I am loving bows lately. I used the Maggie Holmes metal dies and my Big Shot with felt.<br />

I'm going to be creative this evening. It's so therapeutic for me. I just love the creative process.<br />

Thankful that God is in control today.<br />

<br />
2. I will NOT be guilt-filled if don't blog weekly.<br />
<br />
3. I WILL be proud of myself - IF I do blog weekly.<br />
<br />
4. I will be thankful. For everything and IN every circumstance.<br />
<br />
5. I will remind myself daily that time is God's trainer. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. My cross to bear.<br />
<br />
6. Live with no regrets. So when January 2016 comes around - I will not have regrets. What do I need to keep and what do I need to change so I will not have any regrets? I need to meditate on this... <br />
<br />
7. I will forgive myself if I have regrets. I will not be so hard on myself! I'm my worst critic.<br />
<br />
8. Journal, journal, journal on my pages. I would rather "create" new layouts - the artsy-fartsy stuff rather than take the time to journal. That's one of my regrets on earlier layouts. I will journal before I move on to another layout. There.<br />
<br />
9. I will call these goals "Guidelines". Goals sounds too legalistic. It's just me. I hate rules for rules' sake. But I can "DO" guidelines and not feel pressure.<br />
<br />
10. ENJOY the process. Enjoy my life, my husband, my kids. Enjoy life as it comes. Let go of the so-called "control" I think I have over my life. Haaaa haaaa. Control - such an illusion!<br />
<br />
That's it folks!Heather Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16499284526636325078noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121066954832745261.post-84357815832683586642013-05-17T22:38:00.000-04:002013-05-17T22:42:39.632-04:00Late V-Day post<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I meant to post this Valentine's card in February. Oh well. I used my Cameo to cut out "Happy Valentine's Day" and the red hearts. I used red polka dot washi tape. I LOVE washi tape! I have so much of it - I just need to USE it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The reason I addressed the card's envelope to: "Cade - the mighty Sumo Wrestler" is because of the picture BELOW:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdUBydh7yLt4-4dIOAdVJekQoJwqErhNuvFU3h9HhdS87aG4We-ksYXgMlQBwOt352VANIwnkfVHnakeqsFnHdpEo1uD_MJ87ICukNm6JBeVfrKYaa5W9vkZielp8cP1Tc0hULNuLO7xUa/s1600/IMG_0229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdUBydh7yLt4-4dIOAdVJekQoJwqErhNuvFU3h9HhdS87aG4We-ksYXgMlQBwOt352VANIwnkfVHnakeqsFnHdpEo1uD_MJ87ICukNm6JBeVfrKYaa5W9vkZielp8cP1Tc0hULNuLO7xUa/s320/IMG_0229.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
During Spirit Week at school, the entire 9th grade voted for Cade to represent them in the Sumo Wrestling contest against another student in the 12th grade. Cade and the 12th grader both wore these outfits - which looked even funnier in real life - and wrestled until someone pushed the other out of the circle (on the floor). And there really was no way for the boys to really get hurt because of all the padding and air in the outfits. When all was said and done, Cade actually beat the Senior by pushing him out of the circle 3 out of 4 times!! Cade is so strong. And he's tall - about 6 feet now. I think he really had fun. But he took it very seriously. Very. He did not want to look weak in front of the chicks!<br />
<br />
I was so glad I captured these pictures. It DOES pay to keep a small camera in your purse!! hee, hee..Heather Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16499284526636325078noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121066954832745261.post-29551733336250850032013-05-17T22:26:00.001-04:002013-05-17T22:26:27.680-04:00Thankful for todayI am thankful for today.<br />
That I am here, right now, where I should be. Where God put me.<br />
Things have been so hard.<br />
Eric's health; his heart transplant, all the drugs he's on, his fragility.<br />
The week in the hospital with pneumonia. That was so scary.<br />
I wish I could say I am always supportive. Last Saturday, I just cried all day.<br />
But, I have to concentrate on today. Just today.<br />
Because today has enough problems of its own. And I am not promised tomorrow.<br />
When I start to worry or let my mind concentrate on negative thoughts, I start going down.<br />
And fast.<br />
Because I am thinking of next week, or the next month, or even the next year.<br />
I have no control. Over anything. Not one thing. <br />
And any control I think I have, is all an illusion.<br />
An illusion!<br />
<br />
I am choosing right now to trust the Lord. Because He loves me.<br />
He is faithful. Always, always has been.<br />
And I'm so grateful. So very grateful.<br />

<br />
I resigned from the design team I was a part of. There were many reasons why... but I don't want to bore you with the details. Suffice to say, the company is very disorganized; sent the dies a week before the my projects were due so that I would have to rush and practically kill myself to finish on time; AND after all the work and time I would spend on the project, many of them were NOT even posted! So, here are just a few of the projects I created using the dies.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTXaPxWh9FrfMzfuglHtwRvo2Y_pB0wgMX6zk-RJ919eqIGI9fomf5hyHCDYoCbMg4vvoM5U8QkUPRhw3216rHxbvTbRYr7JKLd8SMpM7NSeCJufm3B-Gs6QQd5qg0W_K5u5fKREdVdtBQ/s1600/BestHeartLO.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a> </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibUDU2S-0iULLknpCeiOa9uaLFJXCfBcnq0G4NSVl7GMfZZ_T6ejvtewj7PhL4sBC4Mlmi1NvEbDfnoVG7kSkF7k78MQsZlp-p1cc1jYHnZjIlHQCfMvo5dtttDX3tXhi4FaJ868dLv4Mp/s1600/BestRosesLO.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibUDU2S-0iULLknpCeiOa9uaLFJXCfBcnq0G4NSVl7GMfZZ_T6ejvtewj7PhL4sBC4Mlmi1NvEbDfnoVG7kSkF7k78MQsZlp-p1cc1jYHnZjIlHQCfMvo5dtttDX3tXhi4FaJ868dLv4Mp/s320/BestRosesLO.jpg" width="317" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the project below, I cut a tag out with my cricut machine, tore some white glitter paper and then used the dies to make a snowy scene. Then I tied the tag to the outside of a box.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below is one of my most favorite projects ever! I used an old frame, cut a doily with my silhouette, and layered a snowy scene using the dies. I used this home décor piece during the Christmas holidays. I still can't understand why this project was NEVER posted on the website. But, I like it.</div>

Our family met my sister, her family and my brother about 3 hours away. We had a GREAT Thanksgiving at the ole Cracker Barrel and it was DELICIOUS. What's even better? I didn't have to cook OR clean up. <br />
<br />
First up are 3 tags I created using Die-Versions Sweet Spots called "Jingle Bells". I used my handy Cricut machine to cut 3 tags out of dark green cs and then Reminisce patterened paper for the background.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNvG2cOe5U-wKhg4oOwogTa1n-lC_GrwudqAyP_-cseEovbz3wL11timjSAQSi4a3fFUYQqw9vQrgIsPw_zsSdVPMZGLRddjAm8haP4dbJnxb8GY08XfAcn0wrEufUtwq3JpyBIRQfaueL/s1600/3JingleBellTags.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="147" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNvG2cOe5U-wKhg4oOwogTa1n-lC_GrwudqAyP_-cseEovbz3wL11timjSAQSi4a3fFUYQqw9vQrgIsPw_zsSdVPMZGLRddjAm8haP4dbJnxb8GY08XfAcn0wrEufUtwq3JpyBIRQfaueL/s320/3JingleBellTags.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
These were so easy to make! Cut "Jingle Bells" out of green cardstock, use some stickles just on the words, and embellish your tags with hand cut holly leaves and the cutest little miniture red bells. I also hand-dyed the ribbon and there you have some jingly fun to top a Christmas present.<br />

Next up is a super simple card you could whip up in no time! I used the Die-Versions Sweet Spots "Very Merry" die. Again, stickle the words, mount on a die cut round card, and add a rather large red flower below the sentiment. I also added the cutest Christmas washi tape on the background - plaid and red/white stripe.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaHP9HOLHTXL3HyL0g3CzQkNqDmIOZFBbnpFrCb-1o7seas1uUwk-E5oTihibjuCYq-hSZ2p0NTSRpRE3LW4HVFLXlzG2PsIyYvu1KaMLmnl2nfFgI9U_EfzWIg9gs6SW2uWyqj_xvPtAr/s1600/VeryMerryCard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaHP9HOLHTXL3HyL0g3CzQkNqDmIOZFBbnpFrCb-1o7seas1uUwk-E5oTihibjuCYq-hSZ2p0NTSRpRE3LW4HVFLXlzG2PsIyYvu1KaMLmnl2nfFgI9U_EfzWIg9gs6SW2uWyqj_xvPtAr/s320/VeryMerryCard.jpg" width="315" /></a></div>
To make it seem more wintry, I took a white pigment ink pad and rubbed the edges of the card as well as the flower. <br />
<br />
That's it. I'll be back in a few days with some new creations featuring the Die-Versions December release. Now off to exercise some of the turkey and apple pie off!<br />

I used a sweet petite die "love you" layered on top of the Whispers "Acorn Wreath die cut in cream cardstock. I also used the same die cut under the top right photo. "Our" was cut from the A Hint of Lime font and the word, "Punkin," used the "Oh Scarlet" alphabet dies. The banners at bottom of layout were all cut from yellow-striped ribbon. The layout looks so much better in real life. I just couldn't seem to get the color right when I took the picture. <br />

The dies this month are all Christmas theme dies. The detail in these dies is extraordinary. You can check out the Christmas dies on the <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/" target="_blank">Die-Versions blog</a>. I made 3 different layouts, a couple cards and a gift bag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCxI1j0pVsZNtb3FTVMrqDbYoNyNrmWWILGt8IQhCpE1EO2gf1lZwRhQZCH8_uPC4hjPsYJwa_lrsogkuJBSkRvbTQr9A0MGTwCXDEw_0DLsJ0HjD_kOqkmhxnGUhSZp6qJoP2jkzO2nDb/s1600/HeatherDVGoodLuckLO.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; height: 308px; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; width: 317px;"><img border="0" height="307" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCxI1j0pVsZNtb3FTVMrqDbYoNyNrmWWILGt8IQhCpE1EO2gf1lZwRhQZCH8_uPC4hjPsYJwa_lrsogkuJBSkRvbTQr9A0MGTwCXDEw_0DLsJ0HjD_kOqkmhxnGUhSZp6qJoP2jkzO2nDb/s320/HeatherDVGoodLuckLO.jpg" width="320" /><br />
</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This layout uses the Die-Versions Sweet Spot called "Good Luck". These little circle sentiments are so stinking easy to use on cards, layouts, gift cards, or tags. I also used the Die-Versions Little Lime font beside the number 9 for the "th" and "grade". Such a versatile alphabet. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of my most favorite cards. The sweet petites "Bells" die is so adorable. I cut it out in maroon and then used Stickles around the edges of the die. The 2 doilies were cut using my Silhouette Cameo.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next up: I used the Die-Versions Sweet Petite Angel die, die cut out of glitter gold paper. I cut 4 doilies out of shiny gold cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo, folded them in half and glued back to back to each other. Then I glued the "wings" of each angel to the side of the doily. This ornament is so pretty hanging on the tree!</div>

What a month!Today marks the 1 month anniversary since Eric received his new heart. He's been out of the hospital for 3 weeks now and it has made a HUGE difference to our whole family that he is home. Just having him home makes everything seem easier, calmer, and more peaceful. Eric loves sitting in his new recliner and watching all the sports on the TV - especially since he has the oracle of ultimate control in his hot little hands! (aka, the remote control)<br /><br />Eric is experiencing some rejection issues with his new heart. Last week's heart biopsy showed that he had moderate rejection so the docs quadrupled his steroids for 3 full days to suppress his immune system. He had his 4th biopsy today and the doctor seemed to indicate that Eric has signs of rejection right now. We will know tomorrow when the biopsy results come in. The normal protocol to treat rejection issues is to hospitalize the patient and give high doses of IV steroids. I can't lie... The last thing Eric and I want is to ever walk into that hospital again. But, the Lord IS good. He does absolutely know what He's doing. So Eric and I will have to surrender to Him and continue to trust Him.<br /><br />I posted so many projects that I created using my Die-Versions dies in my last post. You know what I realized? That I gave way too many instructions!!! Just looking at my projects is enough. Sorry about the length of that post <3<br /><br />Heather<br />- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad<br /><br />Heather Bhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16499284526636325078noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121066954832745261.post-91425458923823617252012-09-12T20:59:00.003-04:002012-09-20T16:13:32.938-04:00Hubby Gets a Heart Transplant - AND Die-Versions' CREATIONS<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So many awesome things have happened in the past 4 weeks. Sorry that I have been so absent from my blog - I hate that! Mostly because I love to write what's happening in my life, in my heart and in my family. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A miracle happened! My husband received a brand new heart. After 2 long months lying in a bed in the hospital - he couldn't even get out of bed! And the Lord gave him a REALLY good, healthy heart from an organ donor. How could we EVER say thanks for this gift? HOW? We are really, really blessed. Eric now has a new lease on life - and a full, happy, energetic life with his new heart. Thankful doesn't even begin to convey our thoughts. We are so grateful to all our friends, family, co-workers, Facebook friends - ALL WHO PRAYED for us as we went through this long journey. WHEW! So excited that Eric is home now, walking, riding a bike slowly, and generally getting around very well. The world is our oyster now. So, so grateful. Please, PLEASE consider being an organ donor, if you aren't already. What a gift.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have worked very hard on my projects using the new Die-Version dies. In August, the Halloween themed dies were released. First up, I made a candy bag topper using the Fall Festival die (Sweet Petites) that you can find <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-August-2012-Release-s/1852.htm" target="_blank">here</a> on <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/">www.die-versions.com</a>. I cut the border die TWICE out of black cardstock, then again in white cardstock; then I trimmed off one of the black die cuts the cat, the maple leaf, bat and owl. Folded then slightly and glued down just the middle of the die cuts on top of the white border die. My Mind's Eye 6 X 6 Halloween paper is the cardstock used for the background. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Next up, the Sweet Petites Cauldron (found<a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-August-2012-Release-s/1852.htm" target="_blank"> here</a>) cut out of black and green; trim out the green bubbley stuff coming out of the cauldron and glue on top of the black die cut. Glue onto the Whispers - Lucky Scallop (doily <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-Whispers-s/1837.htm?searching=Y&sort=7&cat=1837&show=21&page=2" target="_blank">here</a>) cut out of cream cardstock and layered on a paper doily that has been misted with lime green mist. All layered on embossed purple cardstock, green patterned paper and black cardstock card. I stamped "What's Brewin'?" on white cardstock, layered on black cardstock and rounding all corners. I glued the sign on a toothpick and glued it behind the doilies. I used glossy accents all over the black cauldron, and glued a rectangle, cardstock skull cut from MME patterened paper. I also used green stickles on top of the green stuff oozing out of the cauldron and dropped some on the bottom of the cauldron. Add some black/white string tied in a bow and glue a purple flower on top.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPyEGMhx_WOeRnD1IBAVRpBXJadqhZP3HmIq9x20uZEY6hz7LtwWC33e2EnvcqipDt1vou9jyNG3-AEwobZnY994bQzJ4LHdGydE7AtGskQLhGJvISn5H3T49fKo_J4026uTUcTXiHhp6d/s1600/BestWhatsBrewin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPyEGMhx_WOeRnD1IBAVRpBXJadqhZP3HmIq9x20uZEY6hz7LtwWC33e2EnvcqipDt1vou9jyNG3-AEwobZnY994bQzJ4LHdGydE7AtGskQLhGJvISn5H3T49fKo_J4026uTUcTXiHhp6d/s320/BestWhatsBrewin.jpg" width="284" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I took a purple plastic bucket, polka-dot black washi tape glued around the entire bucket. On the front, I die cut a large scallop circle. I cut the following dies out cardstock: Sweet Petites - Black Widow, Pumpkin and Ghost. I hand-drew the stars and cut them out of yellow cardstock. Take a brown pen, draw lines on the pumpkin dies, and lines around ghost and dots for the eyes. Using foam dots, I adhered all the die cuts on the bucket as shown, overlapping each other.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy4jpsUtjhYwK0QW4Ep8Q3SQ8HF-uQGunB8PvbkGFfNVlUB4NUuMuvWIhSAa5B-zXwGamTUsIQ3lB_QGNISD5JpwQRgZLDO7iVbTiLP39Y_Hm5_tlRSoNgR-wO3RED7TT0mbJ6dLvOlu-C/s1600/BucketCloseUp.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy4jpsUtjhYwK0QW4Ep8Q3SQ8HF-uQGunB8PvbkGFfNVlUB4NUuMuvWIhSAa5B-zXwGamTUsIQ3lB_QGNISD5JpwQRgZLDO7iVbTiLP39Y_Hm5_tlRSoNgR-wO3RED7TT0mbJ6dLvOlu-C/s320/BucketCloseUp.jpg" width="236" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
The last two projects use my FAVORITE-EST die of the whole collection - the Whispers Pumpkin Trio found <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-August-2012-Release-s/1852.htm" target="_blank">here</a>! Well, I like them all - but this one cut out so beautifully, is so cute, and makes a card so easily! Cut it out of black cardstock, layer it on top of cream cardstock and glue on top of a chevron orange card front. I used <a href="http://www.scrapyland.com/">www.Scrapyland.com</a> cream colored, 100% felt, die cutting it with my scalloped edge Quickutz die. Cut the border in half, layer one on top of the other, and tie orange and black/white twine on top. I hand-cut all the other elements out of MME's patterned paper - gluing the frame in middle, gluing "Halloween Party" in middle of frame and gluing 3 "signs" in opposite corners of the card. I inked all the edges with dark brown distress ink. Glue a black flower at top of the frame.<br />

I made another card - a baby boy card using the Personalize-It Bib (found <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-July-2012-s/1850.htm" target="_blank">here</a>) Die-Versions Die.<br />

On the sister site of Die-Versions.com, Scrapyland.com sells sheets of all-wool felt (go <a href="http://www.scrapyland.com/Wool_Felt_s/778.htm" target="_blank">here</a>). The dies cut beautifully through it, leaving gorgeous, crisp edges. I cut the bib out of the baby blue felt, mounted the felt bib on white cardstock, and glued that on the striped patterned paper. I glued 3 white buttons on the bottom right of the bib, bow-tied a ribbon and a button which I glued at the top of the bib. I used the Maxi Micro alphabet - just a 1/4" tall (which you can find<a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-Fonts-s/1818.htm?searching=Y&sort=7&cat=1818&show=21&page=2" target="_blank"> here</a>) to spell the word "congratulations" and glued it in the middle of the felt bib.<br />
<br />
Next up, another card. I used the Die-Versions Whispers Die: School Days (found <a href="http://www.die-versions.com/Die-Versions-July-2012-s/1850.htm?searching=Y&sort=7&cat=1850&show=21&page=2" target="_blank">here</a>).<br />
